The pressures of .308 are greater than the Krag was designed for. I wouldn't do it. Welcome to the forum.
Your Krag .308 is probably put together on a Norwegian action which was originally in 6.5 x 55. (It is doubtful that a U.S. Krag could be altered to feed .308 cartridges from the magazine.) It was probably converted for Globe Firearms (and so marked) and sold in the 1960's if memory serves (they were also available in .243 Win). The action lockup is stronger than the American Krag in that both the guide rib and lug bear. Know of a couple here that have been in continuous use since the 1960's. However, whether it is safe to shoot depends on how it has been treated in the last 50+ years.

There were piles of 8mm Norwegian Krags after WWII. But the .308 is an intense cartridge for an older rifle. Handloads only and download to 7mm range.
