Second Model Smith & Wesson .455
Picked up this minty second model Smith and Wesson .455 cal which was the personal side arm of Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Seymour Ditchburn. He signed up in 1915 served as a machine gunner in the 122nd Muskoka Regiment was wounded in the leg in Belgium recovered in England, was sent home to Canada. Re enlisted and granted a commission in the Royal Forestry Corp. and went back overseas for the duration of the WW1 R.F.C. stamp appears on the back strap. The gun appears unfired.
