Help ID'ing a Gewehr 98 stock disc

A friend of mine just picked up this 1916 dated Mauser 98 at a show and we were curious about the marking on this stock disc. The gun itself is very worn and virtually nothing matches, so I'm doubtful the markings pertain to this particular rifle, but curious nonetheless. Other pictures are of anything I thought might be potentially relevant.
