44 Izhevsk PU sniper
While collecting Mosin's I have concentrated on 2 years in particular, with 1944 being one of them. The reason for this is that is the only year that both arsenals, Izhevsk & Tula produced
M38's, M44's 91/30's, and PU snipers. Additionally Tula produced M38's, M44's, and 91/30's on recycled hex receivers. So add that along with other refurb'ed oddballs like MO's, /1\'s, 91/59's and ex-snipers you can amass quite a few rifles and variations for a single year.
This is an R-Guns 44 Izhevsk PU sniper rifle that is one of 2 1944 R-Guns snipers in my collection. This rifle , while showing it age on the outside is a real tack driver and a pleasure to shoot.
