Found this today. Yugo Mausers are plentiful here, and I tend to overlook them, as they're always pristine and probably were never used. But this one caught my eye...it has definitely seen use. Finish is worn a bit, nice patina overall. It is not import marked anywhere. Receiver is scrubbed, stock has been sanded quite a while ago (flash makes it look newer) Side swivel is plugged. It definitely is different from the cleaner, 'unissued' examples I always encounter at the gun shows. Have a look.
Or an FN or Yugo built M24.
I'm aware of the pre 68 imports, but I personally have never seen a 24/47 without a mark, and in such a less than new condition.
I would vote for the Yugo M24 as its origin, or perhaps from the FN factory. If I've ever seen an FN I didn't recognize it as being marked differently.
I believe the Czech VZ-24 shares the full-length Mauser action with the K98, whereas the M24 and M48 varieties were based on the intermediate length action. The difference in length is very small.
No expert here, just basing this one having read and seen.

Looks like a typical import that was "improved" by someone about 10 years ago . The stock sanding and the light grinding on the receiver and barrel do not look that old , just not well kept . The 59 stamp also looks like it was done not to long ago , and should not be there.
