Anomaly atthe parade today

I was watching the Inaugural Parade and noticed something rather strange on the Garands of one of the marching groups: I first noticed that the actions were open. Then I noticed the Op Rods were forward, as in the action was ostensibly closed. As I looked closer I realized that the bolts were gone - missing. I can only think someone though it was necessary for security. However, none of the other armed groups were handled similarly. I noticed that the VMI cadets, all 1500 of them, carried M14s with mounted bayonets!

I didn't even get to see the part with armed groups, it was on while I was working out at the gym...missed that.

So many smarta$$ comments/jokes as to why they had no bolts and every one too political. :)

This has been discussed before. We have seen more than a few that had the bolts removed for whatever reason.
