Enfield No.2 MkI**
Started the new year out with obtaining an Enfield No.2 MkI**. All numbers match, tight lock up and the bore is mint, the finish is amazing, I am sure it was refinished at some point. It's a 1942 production, I was looking for one with wood grips, but the price and condition were right. Interestingly it's. it export or import marked. I had ordered a belt, ammo pouch and holster but some piece of garbage stole it off my front step. Now just to get to the range and see if it shoots as good as it looks!

I think that it's been finished at a major workshop in phosphate and black. But what is a bit puzzling is the quite soon post war, the left grip was heavily modified to make loading and unloading a bit easier. An important feature I feel on a weapon blessed with just 6 rounds!!!!! But a good work horse and served us well into the early to mid 70's
