MC 1952 Griffin and Howe scope mount and rail

I recently viewed a video from the James D. Julia auctioneer web site regarding the Sniper M1 Garand rifle for the Marines that had the subject scope mount. In the video it addressed the fact that about 8,000 thousand were manufactured and released for service, but with the end of the WWII, the model was terminated. However, the video indicated about half of the mounts were removed from existing rifles and many were returned to service for other uses. Does anyone know of any availability in any military surplus or other private sources?
