I picked up this bayonet to go with my 1944 Lithgow. Looks like it has been redone. I was wondering if it looks right? It is kind of sharp, were they normally sharpened? Also can anyone tell me anything about the green frog on the other bayonet, it came on a bayonet I got for my Eddystone M1917? I have tried finding something similar online and couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance.
Your 1907 bayonet, the 2nd one in the pictures, looks fine to me; it was made in Jan 1944 by Orange Armoury as is the scabbard. I have 2 Australian 1907 bayonets in my collection and both have fully blued blades, like yours. Some Australian 1907s bayonets have a false edge/double ground point, which yours doesn't appear to have and I believe this was a later modification.
Late in WWII the Australians issued guidance on sharpening their bayonets so they were issue unlike all other countries that did not officially sharpen their 1907 bayonets
Carl, do you know when Australia started blueing the full length of their 1907 bayonet blade, please? Was it after WW1 or were Australian 1907 blades always fully blue? Thanks.

Are there any markings of any description on the leather frog? I wonder if the colour has been changed from brown to green at some time???
No, I couldn't find any marks.

One of the hand grips is off a Patt14
There are two different bayonets. On is an Australian 1907 one that appears to have been redone in 56. The other one is a 1917 Remington that I was mainly asking about the green frog. The grips are different on them but both sides of each bayonet look to match.
