My wife doesnt care, not at all

I went to a local shop to have a better look at an all matching 1941 Lithgow that's a bit banged up, but thought would come up good with a clean

Next to it was another SMLE, with a badly chipped buttstock and mismatched fore wood. I thought the fore arm would be handy as a replacement so i figured it would make a good parts gun.

Then i saw BSA co on the left of the socket........

Then i turned it over...

And found a little tiger smiling at me on the other side......

The bolt is siamese but couldn't tell if it matched the barrel and action. Nosecap unnumbered

I think i have my next project :D

Sounds good to me, go for both I say, got to love a project rifle.

Nice. I say go for it, but please please post lots of pictures.

I will (eventually) have a wild tiger corp rifle to go under my wild tiger '07.

What do you mean by, "my wife doesn't care"? Typically that's a trap.......

Wonder how many are in Australia - I have one as well.

There were 10,000 of these rifles made made in 1920 by BSA for the elite Siamese "Wild Tiger Corps", with a cute logo of a tiger on the butt socket along with the BSA markings and the serial number (in Siamese characters).

Yes; although difficult to do here in Australia given the permits required.

Thanks badger, first thing i went to when i got home.

Its in pretty bad shape, might be a total refinishing job in the end.

Someone applied a serial number (not the registration number) to it with what looks like a center punch, so the finish will be wrecked in that repair
