Unusual Barrel Markings

I came across this Picture of a '43 Inland with Strange markings on the Barrel. I don't think it's a Inland Barrel, but when I searched for M1 Carbine Barrels with unusual Markings I didn't find anything like this. Would anyone know something about these strange markings. Thank You.

Possibly some Israeli proofs. They had LOTS of out M1s (and still do!)

I would say it's a Springfield Armory barrel. Would there be a cross cannon cartoch on the flat part of the barrel.

I couldn't tell you this is the only picture of the barrel and I do have one of the Carbine but not big enough to see details.

I tend to agree with SA being the maker, but the some or all of the other markings are unknown to me.

I see I overlooked another date of 4-62 which probably was an overhaul or possibly the date that barrel was installed. This is not a U.S. marking.

My Special Products carbine also has a very similar marking. Date 7-61. The barrel is an Underwood from 2-44, and apart from this extra marking, according to the Riesch book it appears to be an original 1944 carbine as far as the metalwork is concerned. I am well aware that it is now impossible to demonstrate that all parts left the factory together in 1944, but since I have won the Hessen championship twice at 50 meters I am happy with it as it is - and I am not going to dismantle it to look for marks underneath the woodwork!

The stock is later, numbered 581xxxx (no other marking). It has German "Eagle over N" (nitro)proof marks but no importer's stamp. I imagine that it is one of those carbines that the US provided for German police and enforcement agencies, which was later sold to the civilian market. The mark appears to be a monogram of I over A. AI is also stamped on the front band. Does that help anyone in identifing it? Is it a carbine that was refurbished by Inland in 1961? Would that even have been theoretically possible? Or is the AI monogram a mark of some German agency?

imntxs564, could you please try to get a better photo of that mark on your barrel? It could be the same.
