I have an M1C receiver which is plugged, and I was wondering if the plugs were removable. I have an EDM machine but want to know more about the plugging process used by the ARMORIES. If any one out there has information I would appreciate hearing from a knowledgeable collector. I have the G&H Mount and an original M82 Scope in mint condition.
Yes, they are removable. In the old days, real M1Cs were quite rare, so unplugging one to restore it was common. If you see an M1C with SA-52 on the heel, it has been unplugged. IIRC the plugs in the threaded holes just screw out. The two locating holes are tapered. We need a reply from somebody who has actually done one.

Mark is correct, a plugged M1C receiver is a collector item, an original M1C would require paper work. Some have even removed the SA 52 from the receiver but you still need paper work
