The M1 rifle on the left appears to be a Winchester by the slant cut operating rod or else a very early rebuilt Springfield. I would guess Winchester
if the time comes I need one, there'll be plenty lying on the ground.

Found this one apparently the fire fight at the LZ ALBANY was even more hectic than La Drang valley and is not spoken about I watched the 20 minute trailer and it is drastically moving what these troops went through it is worth the time to spare and take in just what these poor buggers went through even the enemy.

The situation at LZ Albany was dire enough that those on the spot were unable to keep track of and evacuate all of their fallen. Hal Moore, who wasn't in charge of that battle, went in a year later and recovered all the missing. He was that kind of guy. It is all covered in his book, "We Were Soldiers Once... and Young." The movie was excellent. The book was better.

It mentions at night the VC were shooting American wounded infact they found some tied up and shot hence they reciprocated the deed to the VC wounded there is a part when the napalm was called in and dropped did not get wounded GI's as the battle lines were so intertwined it was hoped by them that the GI's were already dead before the stuff hit the VC
