REMRAND TYPE 2
This is one of my REMRANDS, # 941781 this is a Type 2, all correct except its finish that somehow is too shiny, makes the gun look almost blued and smoother than the others, still all the marks look nice and crisp, I wonder HOW they did it without rounding the edges, sanding and somehow blueing it without filling any of the markings escutcheon included which is quite visible.
Any thoughts?

If you use a liquid strip and then paper it clean it will turn out this way. That's a very gentle way to finish them. You could also do it with a silica sand blast to clean the deep spots and then hand paper shiny. Not really that hard, just a bit of time... Nice pistol.

finish
Your gun was make in 1942/43. If should have a Du-Lite finish, flat blue-gray in color.
You may have the original finish. Parkerizing was not done till 1944. Check the color and let us know.

The color looks original. It should have the crosshatched mainspring housing too. Nice find!
