Help in Identifying Canadian C1 SMG Tools?

Please help, in identifying these tools. I purchased them, some 25 years ago, while visiting a dealer in Port Elgin Ontario. If I recall correctly, they are for the Canadian C1 9mm SMG. I believe the bottom tool is for extractor removal, but I'm not positive. I've tried googling "Canadian C1 tool" but can't seem to find any thing. I'm hoping someone can tell me what these tool are for, if they will work on a standard Sterling and approximate value? I would appreciate any help.

Welcome to the forum, I've not seen those before and I had enough of those around long enough. Thing we found was the tools designed for things like stripping and extractor or other simple jobs were usually more trouble than they were worth. Possible they're for the C1 Submachine gun but it's also possible they won't work for the Sterling... They should be marked for the CDN army though...

The top one is for the butt stock assembly , and the bottom one is for extractor removal.

As a matter of interest it will not work on a British bolt.

Mmmmmmmmm........ maybe someone could show us all HOW they work in relation to a butt and bolt.

Like BAR says, some of these special tools were practically useless. I saw one such, said to be designed to take the driving spring out of an M1919 bolt. Levers, caps, special sequence, pin to insert.......... When all the real Armourers and tank crews at the sharp end used was a piece of soft-wood, press down, rotate through 90 degrees and lift sharply away. End of story. As for the extractor tool for the L1A1 extractor............. All I can say is that more extractor stays have been lost through the use of that tool than anything else.

Nope, still can't work my way through the butt assembly tool!
