Unmarked French medical officer's sword--Klingenthal?

This sword was given to me by my uncle, who purchased it in the USA in 1960. There are no markings anywhere on the sword. It has "old" patina overall & is very well made.

Blade is 34.75" in length with a double fuller that runs 16.5" from the ricasso. This is a very long blade, so whoever wore it was a very tall officer.
Brass hilt with folding counterguard/ release button on reverse side.

Counterguard on the obverse side (fixed) has an emblem, Staff of Asclepius, surrounded by a wreath. The Staff of Asclepius is the medical emblem of other countries. The USA uses the Caduceus, which is not really correct, but that is another subject.

The scabbard is weathered nickle plated steel, single ring, and has a drag tip.

I've spent a lot of time researching this. I found a picture of the French medical corps emblem which is identical, except the wreath is (leaf types) reversed. I also found an identical sword on a website, with a US Eagle on the counterguard, and clearly marked "Klingenthal", a French maker and the sword pictured was a US M1840 officer's sword. Klingenthal made swords for many countries, and their swords showed up in our Civil War.

All the Klingenthal swords that I have found on the web are marked as such with a cursive style. I am almost 99.9% sure that this is a Klingenthal made sword but am wondering if anyone else out there has come across an un-marked Klingenthal?

#1- The upper 2 swords are Japanese. The bottom sword is the French "unknown".
