The new "Boss"
My wife and I have had to relinquish control of the household with the arrival of the new boss our 4 month old blue seal point Siamese male kitten.
We have waited 15 years to get another cat due to various factors, I have previously owned a seal point Siamese for my wife its the first time she has had a cat of this nature normally we only go for the standard "Moggie".
Apart from the midnight spack attacks he is settling in well but we are sleep deprived at present, sadly by his mannerisms the breeder we got him from we feel did not look after him interaction wise as he has had 11 other Siamese to compete with plus dogs.
He even came with fleas (now all gone & wormed as well) which shocked my wife and I from a registered breeder but he is micro chipped & fully immunized.
He is still pretty skittish around us but slowly gaining more confidence of us walking up to him, sadly his jewels will be parting company very shortly at the vets.
He is now well fed and will never be an outside cat others may be a bit miffed at this but provided they are entertained and cuddled allot the Siamese does not really want to wander.
And anyone knowing or owning one of these knows just how that meow can get on your ginger a bit as they are very talkative and demand the same from you..........!

Yep siamese are certainly different from your standard cat.
I grew up with siamese and they were indoor cats too. They were amazing cats, my aunt, who bred them, was very specific about both her cats and the sires personality.
Now my parents have tonkinese (again bred by my aunt) they are a bit more like the siamese of old in shape and temperament.
My cats are just bitsers of unknown origin we rescued but they suit us perfectly. When my house empties out a bit I'd like a siamese or tonkinese again, but right now my house is way to busy.

He's a sweetie, once he's neutered he'll settle a bit.

My wife's little girls who just turned one year old last week... they're 12 pound miniatures ... sisters from the same litter ... spoiled rotten .. :rolleyes:

I had a beautiful Norwegian mountain cat for a few years, when she went from old age I just couldn't bring myself to go through that again. Still, at this moment I'm on a trip to pick up a puppy with a friend so she has company for her current dog-boy...pics to follow...

Ahh henryr the good old Tonkinese (Siamese X Burmese) my friend had one called "Simon" dare to walk past without patting him and suffer the wrath of the claws and anyone being clawed by these breeds their claws are way more potent than the average moggie. These cats the Siamese have been known to attack intruders that have come into their owners houses whilst they are out, in fact they were palace guard cats for the King of Siam they used to sit on the columns.
My wife wanted a Russian Blue but at the time none were available and a Burmese was 1K (cost of a new fitted barrel for me?) she has now learnt in just a few days that once a Siamese accepts you they are a lap cat and thrive on affection (most cats do) but for these fellows they just get right in there and reciprocate the love you give them, my wife just loves the way he jumps up and just flops down expecting instant pats. :thup:

Well the vet trip panned out well he is quite healthy had his jab and microchip scanned into the vets records, we are doing the righty with feeding him a balance of soft/hard food and can now cut down portions as he has got over the "Competing for food" when he first arrived he was wolfing his food down and watching every corner or slinking away with his ears flattened, now he is comfortable most times but occasionally slinks.
Had another 02:00am spack attack so hopefully he will get these flying around the house like a demonically possessed cat all the while mewing his head off soon or I'm in the shed sleeping
Losses his figs in a months time so that will be another "I am a bad owner" trip for him as I have to put him in the cage whilst my wife gets the cuddles I am given contempt because I gave him his flea treatment and travel calm drops into his mouth tellya he is a little squeezer, so all is happy here. Cheers.
