maybe a mauser bolt
hi out there, this is my first post/question
my name is Ken,
I was given an old, FN Model 1922 carbine. I've been told it's part of the Mauser family. And it sure looks like one.
The thing is, it's missing a couple parts on the bolt. The safety switch/toggle and the cocking device. My question is, will parts from a k98 Mauser bolt work. These are the only parts I can find that look like the photos I've seen of the gun in question. It's also missing the follower from the magazine.
Another question I have is, is there away of telling what bolt end I would put on a
lee enfield smle mk.III 1916. I was given one of the guns too, but it was missing the bolt end.
Any help with the two beauties would be appreciated.

Post photos of the bolts, as well as any markings on the rifles. That will enable others who will soon add their wisdom here to give you accurate advice.

Whilst your figuring out the pics use the search function top Rt of the home page and look up fitting new bolt head then read the ream's on the subject to get a good idea whats involved as they do not just screw on and away you go it has to be set up correctly other wise you may find yourself in an uncompromising position. The learned ones will help but look the matter up and then pose your question because heaps has been done on the subject and whilst the chaps here are really helpful you can imagine answering the same question 100's of times they get a tad thread bare (pun!) on the subject.
Be nice to see your rifles also be aware Lee Enfields grow on you as it is just about nigh impossible to stop at one.........
