and the Panzerschreck up by the fence. Can imagine these guys, possibly newbies (helmet liner in back looks awful clean/new) were told to hold that point and died trying.

The Panzerschreck loads like the Bazooka...the Panzerfaust has the bomb hanging out like the RPG...see the short vid accompanying...

So we can't tell from the picture it's been fired or not?
Maybe that case held the projectile and thats empty, thing is they were in a bad spot they may have been in a ditch but there is not any real cover all the boys have to do is flank them or easier still call in the fly boys to beat them up......
Besides we do not know which direction the goodies were coming from!
