Israeli MG34/42 mg starter tabs/belts

I have these 2X mg34/42 belts, which came in the special Israeli mg ammo tins, and these have slightly different starter tabs to normal that are joined directly onto the main belt without using a round to fix the tab to the main belt. Is this normal Israeli practice not to have separate starter tabs or is this just due to a collector getting things "mixed up"? Also did Israel have slightly different starter tabs of their own manufacture as seen here? The belts seen here, apart from tabs, appear to be ex WW2 German/post WW2 Yugo. Thanks for any information.

Here are some pictures of the other ends of the belts. One belt looks as if a round clip has broken so that the end clip is missing and the other belt, appears to me, to just have a standard end tab?

The one on the left appears to be German; it is dated "(unreadable) 41". That is the month and year of manufacture. Some will also have a maker's stamp there. Earlier belts will have links made of thicker steel without the lengthwise middle crease; later links will be thinner and have 2 additional creases to stiffen them.

The one on the right indeed has a broken-off link, not an end tab. Count the links and you'll probably find it has fewer than the normal 50.
