mauser shoot off

I brought a few Mauser's to the range for a little informal comparasion. Between three shooters we had three mauser's, M48 ,m24/47 and K98 Russian re-furb. Strangely enough the results were groups from all rifles ranging from 2.5" to 4" with no one gun out shooting the other, nor did any shooter out shoot each other? Hum must have been the coffee. I honestly can't pick a top gun from the three. A few guns that surprised me was the Hakim which shoot 2" groups and the Finnish target rifle shot a 5 shot .75" group with copper wash yellow stripe ammo. The Lithgow Mk III shot a few nice 2+" groups and both the Finns 91 and 91/30 were shooting in the 3+" groupings and the Swed's were doing about the same (they've both shot better in the past, must have been the coffee). All and all it was fun shooting in the cold (by our standards). I might try it again next week-SDH :D

What ammo if you can remember.... think the russian refurb is the one ya gave me?
