M41/B

Because of my namesake (not speckles), I have always enjoyed Swedish rifles, specifically vintage snipers which are quite difficult to find but, when found, I just have to have them... Maybe a problem, like a cat lady. I have one that is built on a Gustafs 1914 receiver (uncommon year) that is fairly standard with mismatch small parts by the arsenal, last armorer rebuild 1967. Since then, someone felt that the stock was too messy for him or her and sanded it and put putty in the stock cartouches. This makes me want to collect all the snipers and protect them from the cutters, sanders, grinders and humpers.... here are my pictures.

Those 6.5s sure shoot straight don't they? I just can't warm up to a scope so high over bore, too hard for me to get on to without a cheekrest. I like to be hogged right down...looks nice.

Jim, there is a cheek piece that we use on these rifles at our cmp match games that works really nice for just that problem... as I recall, they were made in England. The rifle on the right has the cheek piece. andy

Very nice M41B its a nice rifle. I see you have a springfield with an unertl scope? Is it a 8X like the USMC snipers? They shoot well I have a composed one.

Sadly this rifle is a clone with a real scope. Those rifles are a true grail gun... for me
