Peter, a question regarding lens cloth container for the L96

I am aware of the use of a re-purposed Carl Gustav container to carry a lens cleaning cloth for the L96 telescopic sight. What I find interesting is that there is no mention of this container in the various L96 issue manuals that I have.

Is this an official issue or put together field modification?

So far as I remember, the only bit of kit that was officially transferred over from the old L42 to the L96 CES was the chamber stick. No doubt some were retained and moved over, same as some of the cleaning kits were, but not officially
