Here we are again.

Another Remembrance / Veterans Day is upon us.

Time for a bit of quiet reflection, not to forget catching up with some of the "old and bold" and the "ruthless and now toothless".

I seem to have "missed out" on any of these "great adventures", unlike almost all my reasonably recent forebears and their families.

Can't say with any confidence that I see the "sweetness and light" continuing for my offspring.

Like my dad said, "We had some hard times, but we had some great times too. I wouldn't have missed it for the world."

Now I know what he meant...
