A buddy told me about this rifle he was told was for sale, owner described it as "an Enfield rifle with scope in a wood box".
We expected the worst but it turned out to be an unfired 1944 T in matched transit chest with matched scope tin.
Crate had not been opened since 1971 and belonged to the fellas father who's health was deteriorating.
My buddy knew I liked these so I had first crack at it, I wasted no ones time and it is now mine.
My early Christmas present to me!
