New acquisition: 1905 mkII (no*)

Taking a big bite out of my Christmas shopping money, but I figure the kids will appreciate it more come inheritance time. Sometimes you just have to jump when the opportunity arises. Just added a very nice early mkII to the collection. Needs a little TLC to clear up some very minor surface rust on the trigger guard.

Quite the unexpected find. A co-worker inherited some old rifle from an uncle, neither knew much about it other than it had been kicking about the family for years. I told him all about it and congratulated him on winning the lottery of free hand-me down guns. I had the pleasure of being the first to shoot it for him to prove it safe. He actually used it to take a deer this fall. After which he decided it would be better suited to my collection and a new 22-250 would be more suited to his, being a hunter not a collector.
