Martini MkIV
Found another MH today! An 1887 Enfield (of course) with what looks like the delivery date of November 1908 stamped on the receiver and knoxform instead of the butt..have never seen that before. Great bore for the age, don't really see any sign of pitting anywhere. Range report soon.

Right above the date on the receiver, we have this..'KK', and what looks like sold out of service marks, but they're vertical.

Ok, looks like Kirkee Arsenal?
-
Yes, Kirkee, and I guess that Nov. 1908 is the date it was sold out of service, not a delivery date.
-
I also have a Mark IV with a 1908 on the but stock on the right hand side.
Mine has an RP as well, i was under the impression the date was a re-arsenal date not sold out of service?
In very close condition to the OP rifle both are a "C" series Mark IV.

MkIVs were sent to Nepal at this date having been refurbished by assorted armouries in India. The 'sold out of service' marks would have been applied at this stage as they left Indian service. Normally there would be a roundel stamped on the butt recording the exact date of refurbishment.
