Can any of you help me with No4Mk1T authentication?

Ok so I really want to buy one of these but they have been out of my price range and then I found this...

It states that everything is original except the mount.
I may buy this tomorrow if I can verify that it's legit.
On a side note I've already spoken to them & they have no idea what type of mount it is, but they say the scope is the real deal with good glass.

I'm gonna start reading the forum to educate myself on these, but any help you guys can offer will be appreciated. Thanks, Mick.

If its a repro mount chances are then the MKI scope is not colminated to the rifle, also there is no "T" stamping on the left side of the receiver, no small 's' at the chamber end on the flat near the bolt head, no inspection stamp on the left rear flat near the bolt cocking piece, no scope No. on the top of the butt wrist, no staking of the pad screws this makes me believe this is a scopeless "T" thats been force matched with a repro bracket and MkI scope. There is nothing wrong with a scopeless "T" the only thing I find intriguing is its a 1943 BSA (M 47C) that remained scopeless for the rest of the war! It does bear the S51 under the butt, the mount could be a Accu-mount.

I would be careful of this one....especially if you resell it 20-30-40 years from now. would be hard to justify the lack of markings noted by Cinders and purchasing folks will shy away. If you wait, one always comes up that no one is paying attention to... thats when you snipe it.

M47C is Birmingham Small Arms, Shirley, Birmingham. The M42 and the 1943 under it are stamps done by hand using Home Depot stamps too. Finish on the scope indicates it has been rode hard and put away wet as well. Suspect it's one of many that have been cobbled together out of parts bins.
