1889 Belgian Mauser
I bought it at a gun auction and I was not quite sure what it was. As it has sleeved barrel, I thought it might be a GEW 88 carbine ( which were never made?)
It is 7.65x 53 (Same as Argentine mauser) Originally made in Belgium and rearsenaled in Birmingham England by Belgians who left their country and took some of their arsenal equipment with them.
Wood appears to be tiger stripe and has a built in attachment on the left side of the stock for a saddle sling.
