British Model 1917 with RAF stock disc

The RAF disc is interest as well as the Springfield Sporters Aluminum inventory tag pop riveted to the trigger guard bow. In the future, some collectors may be puzzled as to the presence of the tag. They were added before importation and booked in by those numbers so they did not have the problem of trying to record/read serial numbers. I believe they eventually generated a tag number vs. serial number inventory book.

Can't correct title. Should be Pattern 1914, not Model 1917

Is the rifle a M1917 in a Pattern 14 stock or a Pattern 14 completely?

It is a full Winchester Pattern 1914, I must have had a senior moment typing the entry. Good call.
