Looks like the beginning of a gun collection
Here we see some of the trophies we lust after today. A friend of mine was 16 at war's end and resident German. He said the guns were demanded and brought to the town center where a US officer waited, the owner smashed the butt across the curb stones until the firearm was destroyed and then threw it into the growing pile aside...
I know some blokes who would be lusting for that external hammer SxS.
