How many finn 91/30's?
I just went through the Lapin book on Mosin Nagants, he has no quantities listed in his scribe so then I hit the Browers book where he states there was 24,000 re-built by Tikkakoski during the 43/44 time frame, but I'm not sure if he meant total re-builds or just the Tikka's. What I am actually looking for is the total number of 91/30's that had been re-built by the Finnish. I have an early 91, dated 06 a 91/30 dated 1938 and the newest dated 1944. I initially picked up the second 91/30 for trade but Claven2 informed me of the reality of the situation where as the Russian guns are having too much of a negative impact on their values, so I'm going to log it into the collection. I'd just like to know about how many of them are out there. Any information is appreciated-SDH:bash:

Finland had about 182,000 captured Russian M91/30's, though some of those were surely lost in battle.
Here's the breakdown:
Winter War captured M91/30's - approximately 25,000
Continuation War (1941-44) - approximately 100,000
Supplied by the Germans in 1944 - approximately 57,000
Total = 182,000 give or take.
Tikka made M91/30: 12,000 to 13,000, almost 10,000 of which were only assembled post-war. Most survive today.
Tikkas are therefore MUCH more rare. But of the 182,000 captured rifles, many probably do NOT exist today having been lost in combat or recaptured by the Russians in 1944.

My heart felt thanks, Those are the numbers I was looking for, now I can log the gun in with a little data behind it. What seems to be a bit of a shame, if these were American guns they would be worth 10Xs their value just based on the numbers B.R.-SDH
