K31 this time...

This is probably one of the nicest examples of a K31 I have ever personally seen. Strong rifling with almost perfect bluing. The stock is in excellent condition with only a few minor dings and one scratch. If I have to nitpick, at 5lbs the trigger pull pales in comparison to my Swiss G1911. But then again at 2.5lbs the trigger pull on that rifle sets a very high bar! Overall this is one of the nicest milsurp rifles I've ever seen... It's certainly comparable to my 1903a3 and 1903a-faux, and second only to my mint and essentially new Lee Enfield No4 Mk2.

Sadly, I have to wait until I get out of the field next month before I can get to the range.

Nice looking example I may be wrong and if so I apologise but comparing a web pic with yours it appears yours may have met with a good bit of sanding.
The ridge of the comb is flatter on yours, as is the pistol grip node, also the mag release area on your rifle looks to have been scalloped then again the angle of the camera may make it appear that way.
My friend shoots a K-31 they are wickedly accurate though you can lose cases pretty easily as it chucks the brass about 8' behind you with a vigorous cycle.

It's possible... The comb isn't near as flat as the photo I posted makes it appear, but the pistol grip I think is less pronounced than the pic you posted. I'll have to look at the magazine release again when I get home.

Either way, I'm pleased with the overall condition. Even if the stock has been refinished.

Nice. Finish does look a tad off, doesn't affect things.

Sanding is common with these and was done by the Swiss so no major issues with it. Easiest way to tell is if the stock cartouches are complete and strong. Should be a nice Swiss cross inside shield on the Butt Stock. If gone, definately sanded. If weak also likely sanded.
