Grrrrrr!
On our M/cycle trip we went to the Merriden War Museum I have taken allot of pics but this one of the Lee Grant is of particular interest.
Its being restoe'd and a certain volunteer decided to do something to the tank without permission or thought such was the gravity of their actions they no longer work there and are very unpopular in the town.
Can you spot what they did.
(Will post more pics of the place later)

Turret gun is missing. There is a gaping great hole where it should be.
What the drongo do with it?
-
Camouflaged it with the silhouette of a kiwi?

Paul S was on the right track so to speak mentioning armament, this is the story of the Volunteer whom went to far;
As the tank is being restoe'd they removed the basket from the top turret & 37mm gun these are in the shed with other vehicles that's good......buuuuuut the volunteer decided that the barrel on the 75mm sponson created a risk to persons walking around the tank and hitting their noggins on it.
So without further adoo he lopped off a 10" section of the barrel at the muzzle which is that light coloured looking can thingy behind the left headlight bracket it can be fixed but f**** me what dumb s**t would do that, he no longer works there nor is welcomed back as a visitor for like ever.............

What a rectal orifice! It able to be welded back on?
Looks like somebody got out of control with a paint brush too. Any leads on new/other tires? Just curious.

Yep it can be repaired and hopefully the public won't scrutinize it to closely the grey paint I think is a Galvit type sealer to stop rust I cannot vouch for the cammo job we may have been like the Germans where vehicles were left in oxide for the companies to cammo paint up for local topography at their TOO.
