Nice variance here from Canadian Forces in the early fifties, chucking working dogs out of a DC3, which I came across whilst writing my book BING - The Parachuting Dog during WW2:

A good friend of mine ran a dog through both theaters of this last conflagration, he's done his parachute regt time too but said he hadn't jumped his dog. It never came up for him.
HALO trained now a lot of the Regiment dogs...............skies the limit it would appear ;)
