Number 2 is easy ...
Chargeur de Fusil Semi-Automatique (F.S.A.) Modèle 1917 R.S.C. (Ribeyrolle,Sutter,Chauchat)
It is made from folded steel (acier plié) produced in black-blueing (bronzé bleu)
The cartridges are Cartouche Modèle 1886 à Balle D (am)
Patrick
Three and five are also no problem, 303 and 30-06
Ishould think four is japanese, possibly for the machine gun? (unless they are a lot larger than the others)
#2 is correct Model 1917 RSC semi auto
#3 is British Mark 11 charger 1st pattern 1906-1916
rest are open to I.D. there is not any 30-06 in the group, #2
was the most difficult to I.D.
I think the first one is for a GEW 88
Model 1888 Commision Rifle is correct, cartridges are headstamped UMC 8 m/m
The one to the far left is a British 303 clip for the #1 and #4 smellys
Far right is the commission rifle
second from the far right is possibly 7,62X56r for the M95??
Dan
Look on the Japanese forum - the far right is pictured - 7.7mm ball had the red color at the case mouth
1) German Model 1888 Commision Rifle 8x57mm
2) French RSC M1917 semi auto rifle 8x50R mm Lebel
3) Lee Enfield Charger II (1906 to 1916)
4) British 8x57mm BESA Tank m/g belt
5) 7.7x58mm Arisaka ball
The belt section is confusing. The rounds appear to be Japanese with pink at the case mouth for ball, black for AP. But the Japanese (AFAIK) didn't use any belt-fed MGs. If the belt is for a Besa, then the rounds are not right for the belt as I don't know of any 7.9 ammo that uses case mouth markings like that.
