I am looking at a 1943 Maltby that is for sale. Number on receiver, barrel, butt socket, bolt, and magazine all match. However, I noticed ZF stamped on the right hand side near the butt plate, which as far as I know was an armourer mark for Beyond Local Repair or fourth line repair needed.
Should I be weary of buying this rifle?

Actually buying won't matter, just shooting. Then, you may get lucky.
Think I will stay away. I want a nice shooter.
