Trying to complete my collection of WWII No. 5 bayonets with an example made by Viners (N79). I don't recall ever coming across one. According to Skennerton in British Small Arms of WWII they made around 42000. I would like to know how they are marked,if anyone has one?

Elkington M/78 10,000 made
Radcliffe N187 75,000 made
Wilkerson WSC S294 188,000 made
Poole (P) 1947 unknown made, 1946 examples too, larger font
RFI unknown made, many fakes
Sterling unknown quantity, some were new, some basically FTR'd from other production. Wood, steel, plastic grips (I am still hunting for plastic grips with rivets and with screws, have yet to find a reasonably priced examples).
Unknown No. 5, no markings at all.....
Thanks for the pics, Lance. Not having seen a Viners bayonet before, I wasn’t sure if it was marked on the blade like a Radcliffe or on the pommel like the Elkington. Looks like I still need a 1947 Poole as well!
I wish I'd known that there was such a thing as in-depth collecting of these bayonets as I had a totally rusted out but still identifiable wreck of a No5 bayonet, with the brass mouthpiece ring still attached to the rusty X-piece. It was taken from the burned out wreck of the Sir Galahad in Bluff Cove Bay as it was being cleared of unexploded ordnance/ammo prior to being towed out to be scuttled at sea. I think I gave it away a few years ago.......
