Very nice, I have it's twin 114xxx 11-42 barrel date. There seems to be several M1A1s floating around in this range. Is there a number written in pencil on the left inside of the stock? Mine has the number 12 written upside down. Thanks for sharing. :beerchug:

Looks good. I'd be interested in seeing the sides of the reciever and trigger housing, the rear of the trigger guard, and the portion of the barrel hidden by the stock.

The number on mine was overlooked for several years. It took a bright flash light to find it. It's actually located on the left side of the slide well. Not sure of the significance or how many were marked this way. Have also heard of ink stamped numbers. Here's a photo.

Looks good. Don't see anything wrong with it.
Two things I was looking for.
1. The two tone blued appearance of the receiver and barrel.
2. Matching wear marks between the stock and action.
I see signs of both. The more pictures, the better.
I have an early M1A1 (154574). It does not have the OI in the slide well. Does yours have the OI in slide well?

Rightous M1A1.... Honest wear on an old soldier.... Just like you like to get them... Nice photos too. My early M1A1 had IO in the slide well.
