The sniper was from PPCLI and involved a .50 cal. Don't remember all the details, but he's the world record holder - defeated a Vietnam era American as I recall.
Sounds like he beat Carlos Hatcocks record, I don't recall what it was, its been years since I read the book, but, that is a feat that I just can't comprehend. I've shot 600 yards and struggled. That distance is incredible.-SDH

I stand corrected, 2,430 "METERS" that is totally incredible! I've always had the highest regard for the Canadian solders, they never back up and have always been there when cause was right, Very best regards-SDH
