Maybe are terminology is different here in North America. The screw sizes are correct however they're a flat head slot for attaching the 5C sight. The cheese heads (taperred head) are for attaching scope pads. How long is the shank?
Pan head: disc with chamfered outer edge.
Cheese head: disc with cylindrical outer edge.
Countersunk: conical, with flat outer face and tapering inner face allowing
it to sink into the material, very common for wood screws.
Button or dome head: flat inner face and hemispherical outer face.
Oval Head; Tapered underside like a countersunk, but with an oval top.
Sorry, but Patt14no2 is correct no matter where you live. The screws you (rgg7) are talking about are the oval head, otherwise called coutersunk domed or machine countersunk. Used in a machine screw application where the bottom taper is used to locate it and tensioning requires added strength of the slot- hence the dome.
Me too - thanks very much.
