1909 Argentinian Mauser...Ooooops, I did it again

Today, driving back from Germany through Switzerland at the end of a trade show, I called a guy who put a 1909 Argentinian Mauser on sale.
He was along my way home, so I took a chance to go see the baby.
Very, very nice. And great bore, which is priority number one for me.
Not matching (the bolt), but otherwise in great condition.
I took it and did not bother to negotiate, because the price was fair (600€).
Once I handed over the cash, the guy gave me a 20€ note back thanking me for not trying to lower the price.

So, what do you guys think of her?

Nice clean looking Argy. Good sharp stampings and ungrounded Crest.
Mine was my very first rifle ever, I've had it for over 40 years. All matching including cleaning rod. Wish I didn't find it at such a young age.
It took a lot of abuse back then and reduced it's condition now. Took it everywhere and even used it for deer hunting a few times.

Handsome rifle. I didn't think face to face sales were a thing in Europe.

They are, at least here in Italy. No problems at all with that.
No limits also for the quantity of firearms you want to buy.

First “approach” with reloaded ammo at 100 meters.
Standard recipe for my Peruvian.
Not too shabby.
Have to keep playing with her.

That came out OK...

Not bad for 110! I doubt any of us will work that well at that age.
