Thing is...the Japs used them for troop transport lots. They had entire units move on bike. There was a story from the Pacific where a recce unit encountered a Jap unit moving along with bikes and could be heard miles away because they were running on just the rims. The tires had gone and they were on paved roads...the guys just went heads down and the Japanese went right past them.Quote:
