EBA marked No4 MK1 1943 assistance

is there any information floating around about EBA marked enfields?

From what was pieced together this is what I have found out and if anyone has any additional information or insight into these markings I would appreciate the input.

Made at Fazakerley, in 1943,
Don't see a FTR mark indicating it was FTR's there.

EBA is the acronym for the Royal Hellenic (Greek) Air Force?

The large stamped serial number and subsequent matching numbers (Stock, forearm, bolt) were done in Greece, when it was rebuilt, maybe more than once?

the bolt was ground and restruck with the number?

Is this information correct and can anyone assist me is identifying these markings?

It looks as though the Fazakerley forestock has been replaced with a Savage forestock - "S" in box (pic 5)

I'm surprised that there is virtually no information out there regarding EBA markings on enfields that I've found. I've been scouring for weeks and have been to the bowels of the net and am no further then I was when I started. Makes me really wonder what I have here

The Hellenic Air Force (HAF; Greek: Πολεμική Αεροπορία, Polemikí Aeroporía, literally "War Aviation", sometimes abbreviated as ΠΑ) is the air force of Greece with Hellenic being the synonym for Greek in the Greek language. Under the Kingdom of Greece from 1935 to 1973, it was known as the Royal Hellenic Air Force (RHAF) (Greek: Ἑλληνικὴ Βασιλικὴ Ἀεροπορία, Ellinikí Vasilikí Aeroporía).

I've read a bunch on the hellenic air force but never saw E B A mentioned. I had one guy tell me E B A was the Greek Air force, but everyone else has no idea, and the majority have never seen the E B A marking before and thats coming from collectors who have been collecting Enfields for years. But i haven't seen any information to verify the greek/ E B A connection unfortunately. You would think that would be easy information to verify if that connection was the case. Im not saying that info is wrong, but I need to see some sort of proof before I can say definitivly thats what the E B A marking signifies.

I requested to be accepted to a Greek WW2 royal hellenic air force facebook page that seems active. Hopefully they accept and i can scrounge up some information on the markings. I will update if they do.

Cool, so what I was originally told is correct then. Awesome news. Thanks for finding that information and sharing it gentlemen, it was a big help.

What is really surprising is the fact that we have only found one other E B A marked enfield documented, and that one is a SMLE Mk.V and marked differently and has a disk in the stock.

Hopefully we can find some more examples out there to compare them
