Bayonet help
Hello folks...l haven't done an intro yet as l screwed up my user name when registering and l'm trying to contact the admin...but l'm failing at that also.
Anyways l am trying to ID a bayonet. It has a small rectangular hole in the hilt and the only thing on it is the number.Attachment 112673Attachment 112674Attachment 112675

Has a Finnish look to it. Need better photos.

Whatever it was, it's too far gone. Use it as a beater utility knife.

Can you provide the inside diameter of the muzzle ring please and also the overall length of the bayonet and the blade length, and between my Janzen's Notebook and Watt's and White Bayonet Book we should be able to figure it out for you. Off the top of my head the numbering and the style does look very Finnish.

Looking at it more closely, not Finnish. Muzzle ring is too short. Condition moves it into the Turkish ballpark now. They are often scrubbed with few markings and use the short muzzle ring.

Appears to have had the quillion cut down. Someone did not like the hook.
Have a Bowie I did this with. Gets caught on branches and clothes.
