I'm not seeing the RA (Remington Arsenal). Perhaps it is in a Smith Corona stock?

Barrel and stock seem late for that serial number. Most barrels in that range have early to mid '42 dates.
I also think the RLB inspection stamp would be present on an original stock. Crispy stamps on yours!
Take a look here: http://www.vishooter.net/R03.txt
My mistake, the receiver and the barrel are April of 1942, not 43.
Scant stock
Thanks
If it is in a scant stock,it is FAKE. Remington only used the scant stock on late M1903A4 rifles and the cartouche would have included the RA.
I agree with M1903rifle --Also, the stock has an "S" stamped in the cutoff cutout. I think the crossed cannons and FJA are fake. The faker didn't realize the crossed cannons and FJA markings would not be seen on a Springfield replacement stock. Also the appearance of these markings are too fresh and deep. Salt Flat
The stock markings are fake and the little s generally means an SA manufactured stock.
