Any of these worth messing with?

Hello all! I came across a few 1903's today and would appreciate and input/advice. One is a Bannerman with a 300K receiver. This is in the "scary, you may die" number range but is that realistically as big of an issue as the internet makes out? There is the 03A3 with what I am presuming is a Bubba stock. Then they have an 03 for $2K marked down! Is there something special that I am missing? They also had a 1917 that I was excited about until I saw the weaver bases and chopped barrel....

Thank you for the feedback. I will look at it more thoroughly when I can next Tuesday or Wednesday. I do remember the barrel was 9 30 but don’t have a picture. I just received Poyer’s 1903 book and will be doing some digging! If it does turn out to be a NM, what would a fair value be? For some reason the Panhandle of Florida seems to be way above any pricing I hear about on forums. Runs closer to what people put up on auction sites...😡

I just noticed that it had a straight bolt handle. If it is a NM, it would have had a bright, numbered, and swept back bolt.

Hard to tell from just a picture. They look to be in decent condition, but the barrels may or may not be.
"...Florida seems..." It's all about local supply and demand. The assorted auction sites seem to be populated with dealers thinking they're going to be rich.
Oh and don't shoot a TD Carbine with 70 grains of BP. It hurts.

It would seem that this is a buyer beware situation. Prices are high for everything these days. The sporter 03-a3 could probably be brought back for $250 +/- (stock, bands, handguard). The Bannerman scares me as it looks to have a M1917 bolt and stock on it and a low number receiver. There might be $200 worth of parts on it. The last one at $2,000 seems expensive but I would never have thought M1 Carbines would go for $1,000 either. If the barrel is good it might be something to dicker over. If it was $1,200 I think I would take it home, hard to say if prices will come down, especially if only bolt actions get to stay.

Thanks all. There is a gun show here this weekend that I’ll check out. If nothing good there, I may offer them $2k for the three and the 1917. If no, I’ll get a Bula M14...
