What would be the correct trig. hsg. barrel date & production date Mo/Yr for a STD. PRO. #21094xx. Thanks.....
Can anyone help here ?
I have a Original Stan Pro purchased about 3+ years ago.
I'll dig it out and see whats in it.
I forget the serial number right now...... but gotta run getting my 1st Covid shot.
Looking at CCNL 366 and a few others as well as JackP's serial # spreadsheet, would expect a Type 3 or type 4 trigger housing in your serial range. Barrel could be undated Marlin, IBM, Winchester or dated IBM, Underwood, Inland with the dates ranging between 11-43 and 1-44.
I am sure someone will correct me if I am off the mark here.
Jan of 1944 is likely production finish date.
In your range I'd expect a Flat SW hammer, SQ S Flip Sight, Type IIA SW Magcatch, Type III Push Safety... Plain or marked SW (?), Type I barrel band - 2 Weld with Round top ring, Flat bolt with S and number / top of rght lug pointed,..... Seems many close used Underwood barrels, but could be from any maker listed by Wayne.
@RWS67,
See this link, shared by Gene of Oregon. There is a picture file of Stan Pro 2107252 you can compare with. I believe the SA Trigger in the pic file would be a replacement.
Standard Pro. - The Carbine Collector's Club
Give us some details on Stan Pro #21094xx
Thank you all for your info. Has parts stated by Painter along with ST trig. hsg. #11 flat bolt & a 1/44 Underwood barrel. Also has a SH-B high wood stock & handguard. Rich....
Sounds good,
It took me a long time to find a correct Stan Pro. I researched it just before buying it and haven't done anything with it since I got it. Oiled down the outside and ran the bore, then locked it up.
I've spent a few years off and on researching... searching the Veteran that owned it. He carried it aboard their flights while navigating and taking ... His words.. "Thousands and Thousands" of pictures of targets and damage assessments. Based in England he served in the ETO to the Wars end + 6 months. He was presented this carbine by his Commanding Officer. Main part of our deal was his younger friend and neighbor who purchased this Vet's gun collection was I wouldn't reveal the Vets name. This Vet had 2 sons that were 'Troubled' and he didn't want them to have access to his guns. Just one surviving son now.
I know so much about him now and would love to share what I know and who he was, but I agreed I wouldn't divulge his name, until I got the OK. The seller / friend / neighbor even included pictures and letters sent to him from this Vet.
I can safely add this about him and his service, but it's just a Tid Bit:
36th Bomb Squadron RCM CREWS:
2ND LT ROY RAYNER CREW - I've deleted the crew names.
Air Force 8th. Type: Combat. Category: Bombardment.
Air Craft Used: B-24 Liberator.
Structure Part of:
801st Bomb Group. 8th Air Force Carpetbaggers. 581. 610. 664.

Above is The insignia of the 36th Bomb Squadron (Radar Counter Measures).
They would fly blocker for the big bomber attacks, causing radar disruptions and would often drop Aluminum and other metal flake media to cause German radar flack.
I keep in touch with his neighbor I purchased it from. Sounds a bit morbid, but I have the OK to disclose what I've found and can post this Vets name after his last living Son is...... I'll say- No longer a concern. His long time neighbor doesn't want any problems with family.
I even made a point of saving the Emails from this seller / neighbor for someday down the road.
But Damn it's hard to stay true to my agreement. Had I not agreed, I wouldn't be the current owner.
All that said...... I have so much to share when the time comes. Including this Vets post War service, Many in his hometown will recognize the man and his contributions. To include a old 8mm movie he's seen in after a very severe storm. About all I can safely share for now.
Quite a story there and all history that should not be forgotten. Thanks again Rich......
Just seeing this thread. I have an original SP very close to yours, 210954x direct US Navy vet family purchase in 2009.
Undated Marlin barrel, stamped housing marked ST, flat bolt S-23, S-HB low wood stock with T-1 band and rest is mostly marked as painter's #4 post.
If you haven't yet, check under the butt-plate to see if you have a readable ink stamp...mine is Nov 29.
