Misrepresentation?
Springfield M1 Garand Serial Number 357 Vrey Collectible - Semi Auto Rifles at GunBroker.com : 902845903
After I pointed out to the seller his M1 was not an early USGI rifle but a product of Springfield Armory Inc., he "blocked" me from purchasing anything he offers ---Boo-Hoo. Beware!
-
News that I'm sure he will conveniently forget he was told. He States in his description that he is not an expert so he should be willing you would think to take questions and comments about it. At this point, where the guy has not changed his description, he's just looking to rip people off now by representing something it's clearly not.
-
Maybe, if enough of us inform the seller of his "error", he will come clean with his description?
-
I will do the same and report back if he blocks me too haha. I don't mind at all if a seller like that blocks me, just keeps me from forgetting years down the road not to buy anything from him anyhow.

Well I sent him a message through GunBroker and have attached a screenshot of exactly what I messaged him. As you can see I was nothing but polite. How do you know if you get blocked on gunbroker?
-
We should all send the EXACT same message haha.
-
Have you received a reply from the seller? I suspect you will not based on my experience with him. Any other messages to him should be in your own words to be more effective rather than just copying others comments.
-
No ,haven't heard anything from the seller as of yet
-
The "Circle T" to the right of "Arsenal" is your clue. A knowledgeable buyer will not make mistake this for a pre WWII M-1 Garand.
Buy your books first, rifles second.

With over 1700 transactions on Gunbroker the seller professing not being an expert on these and ignorance of what he is really selling as an excuse for misrepresentation just doesn't hold water.
Kinda reminds me of SGT Schultz professing "I know nothing!".
