Rock-ola has Inland Barrel?

Happy 4th of July Folks....

My question for you that are more in the know than I am, I recently purchased a Rock-ola M1. The question that I have is: I have what appears to be a new (the bore measures " 1 ") Inland Barrel mounted on a Rock-ola receiver? I was under the impression that Rock-ola manufactured their own barrels?

Could someone please advise as to why this might be,, and how does it effect the collectability of the rifle?

Any and all information regarding this matter will be greatly appreciated!

Yes, Rock-Ola did produce their own barrels but may have not produced enough barrels to finish their last serial number block. It appears that they used some barrels from both Winchester and Inland to finish the last serial block out. So what serial is your Rock-Ola? What does the "P" proof mark on the barrel look like (size and shape)? What is the date on the Inland barrel?

Other information would be helpful and maybe make things more obvious. Like, what markings are on the stock? If the stock is original to the carbine, markings will indicate if it has been rebuilt.

I checked War Baby and they show that Inland sent 10 barrels to Rockola, probably to assist in the design of Rock Olas barrels. It also says that Inland made 35K barrels for the free issue program but most went to SG production.
Your carbine probably had the barrel replaced at some point in its life and you now have an almost new barrel on your carbine. That is a plus. I would not worry about it affecting value much as Rock-Olas are so scarce and so desired that ANY Rock-ola will have great value down the road.
Rock-Ola barrels have a problematic past as a lot of them were rejected for use for various reasons many by being bent. The SA armory finally sent around their guys to look things over and they straightened out the bent barrels and cleared them for use. Bent barrels were very common in the manufacturing process and these SA people would just use an arbor press and their eyeballs to find and straighten the bad barrels, rejecting the use of machines to identify the problems.

@DaveHH, see CCNL 384-14 concerning Rock-Ola's use of Win and Inland barrels. Although the OP's Rock-Ola does not fall into the last block serial range were these barrels have been reported.

I don't have my club copies in any type of usable order. Thanks for the info. It doesn't surprise me in the least to hear about the Winchester and Inland barrels, there were plenty of problems associated with the Rock-Olas (I wish I had one!).

I picked up a 6.2 million Rockola with Inland barrel, bayonet lug and adjustable rear sight. Everything was mixed but good condition. About 3 years ago.
